Free Burma! International Bloggers' Day for Burma on the 4th of October

Free Burma!

International bloggers are preparing an action to support the peaceful revolution in Burma aiming to set a sign for freedom and show our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. My fellow Bloggers and myself are planning to refrain from posting to our blogs on Thursday, October 4 and just put up one banner then, underlined with the words Free Burma!.

Show your sympathy for the Free Burma! action and sign the list of participants at

  1. Does it have to have a spelling mistake?
i thought "October" is spelled with a 'C'...

  2. That site only brings me to a red sign no postings. It may be that it is just too busy. I'll look at it again tomorrow.

I listed two blogs at my site in one of the widgets one a blog for Burma and the other the US campaign. I guess it's possible I can't access the international campaign.

  3. Lior: I presume being under fire from the bad guys side they might have made this minor mistake. I wouldn't hold this against them...

Cooper: I admit it almost got me as well but try clicking on the red sign. there is a whole depressing world underneath.

  4. are you saying that genocide is a good excuse for spelling mistakes?

(sorry for the cynicism, the UK is driving me crazy)

  5. Ah I should have tired again.
I wonder, the US and international days are different.

  6. Moonwatcher: Well, unfortunately some historical genocides have been serving some people as excellent excuses for doing many bad things. I don't see why it shouldn't be covering for a spelling mistakes. P.S. congratulations for the new blogspot profile and no-post-yet blog. I look forward to see some content there...

Cooper: what do you mean by "US and international days are different". are you referring to their names or their GMT offset?

  7. Thanks for helping! FREE Burma!!!

Bush slammed the UN and the rulers of Myanmar in his UN speech last week. The only country that has any influence over Myanmar is China, and they can't and won't push too hard. There is too much Oil & Gas there that they need.

The UN must do something, but they never use military force to fight.
    That is a huge problem.

Illegal drug and ruby fortunes are a BIG part of this too.

    absurd thought -
    God of the Universe wants
    complete narco states

    criminals in power
    loving the corrupt drug war

    absurd thought -
    God of the Universe says
    shoot peaceful protesters

    calling for democracy
    which you must never allow

    absurd thought -
    God of the Universe thinks
    keep trying communism

you can never KILL too much
    pursuing Utopia...

  8. sorry, I didn't mean to do it twice. :(
